Hello from utah

This is my first post, also my first gsd. The only other dog I have had, is a boxer. So far loving my perseus. He his 6 weeks old. The reason I have him at a young age was because it was a unplanned pregnancy, and the mother was a First time mom and had 11 puppies. Which 3 later died. The mother stopping being involved with her puppies so the owner had to feed them/ take care them. Sooo.. the owner need some help with them. Perseus and I feel in love. Hate that they were so young to be disowned =( . But good news, that all went to kind loving homes.

Very cute puppy! Sad situation with the breeder though. You might want to read some articles about raising a 'only' pup since he still should be with a litter

Thank you for the reply. I tried looking for the articles you talked about but couldn't find it. Since I'm new to this.=/ I'll keep looking. Thanks again.

I can see why you feel in love with Perseus! 6 weeks isn't so bad - at least he was with his littermates until then. The puppy place forum has lots of tips and several posters have had to take a pup home at 6 weeks due to circumstances like yours.

Welcome! I brought my pup home at six weeks as well, and so far he hasn't had any issues (he's 13 weeks now) Just try to give him LOTS of socialization and work extra hard on teaching him not to bite! What part of Utah are you from?

I'm a stay at home mom, and since my kids are at school, he gets a lot of attention =) so far he is doing well with the biting and has learned how to sit and shake. I'm from ogden. (Weber county)
