Default Wet vs Dry Food

I have a 15 week old German Shepherd and we've been feeding her the dry Blue Buffalo puppy food for large breeds. Are there are specific advantages or disadvantages she would encounter if I chose to switch her to the wet Blue Buffalo puppy food? Excuse my ignorance, this is our first dog and I had the displeasure of growing up in a cat family.

I would not completely remove the dry food from your pup's diet, as it acts as a natural tooth brush. Each time your pup chews kibble, it is helping remove plaque and such from the teeth and gums. I went the route of supplementing dry with a spoonful of wet. It did not soften the kibble, but just was a means of additional nutrients while she was growing.

I mentioned this in another thread, watch out for stool consistency with Blue. Many users have had issues with Blue, causing ice cream consistency like stool (I was one of them). Switched over to Taste of the Wild puppy, everything worked itself out. Others feed Nutro, 4health etc. Grain free with low calcium.

I mix about 1/2 & 1/2 Science Diet puppy & adult dry food & let her have all she wants. She is about the same age & her weight & stools are very good.
