Age?

I sort of rescued Roy of the streets 7 months ago, so his age is unknown. I have went to a few vets and in general they said he is around 2 yrs by the look of his teeth. One of the oddest was a vet thought he is around 6 yrs!!

That was 7 months ago so he should be 2.7 years approximately. However, I feel he is younger than 2 years. His teeth are pretty small I think (could be a genetic thing). Here are some pics of his teeth.

His height is 23.5". Length is 29.5". Quite short for his length, no? Weight is 64 lbs.

How old do you think he is?

At least 2.maybe 3-5yr teeth have yellow tarter at gumline and are worn as well so not younger than 2yrs IMO

My girls teeth look similar but look at his canines. They're worn down a bit. Id have to say around 5.

Based on teeth I would say 6-7 years old, but then again it could be they weren't taken care of before. I have a nine year old and her teeth have no tartar and one would think by her teeth she is two .

I am new to GSD so i don't have anything valuable to add. Just wanted to say he is handsome :):)

Yeah I would guess older than 2-3 by the teeth, but they can sometimes be misleading. For example if a dog chews on hard objects often it can prematurely wear down the teeth.

Just out of Curiosity: how long can GSD's K9 get? the biting teeth?
