Question Single Coat GSD ?

Hello,
This is my first time dog ownership. I got a GSD puppy "Rocky" a month back. People here suggested me to get a Single coat due to the high temperature here. (average 35-42 C). He is now 3 months old. His ears are straight and he even learnt to sit, stand, lay down and even fetch when we throw something. Im over all very happy with the way he is.

He play bites a lot, but that's a different story and has been discussed in a lot of threads. I even checked threads about single coat but i didnt get the exact answers. But what i came to know was that, "Single coat GSD is not Registered" and some say, it does not exist at all. So, i will post few picture of him. Please try helping me out. Thanks

Your puppy will still have an undercoat and guard hair, but won't develop a thick coat if the temperature is alwasy warm. Around 3 months you'll see a change in the coat, the guard hair is coming in and the puppy fuzz becomes the undercoat.
Someone on a fb page said she had a GSD with a single coat but I don't know if I believe it.
