Default How early is too early

Mishka is 10 weeks old, and has had two rounds of shots. I really want to take her places around lots of noise and people. How young is too young to take her to a park? I don't want to take any chances with parvo. One of my dogs in the past had it and it was terrible. I just really want her to be well adjusted.

There is no need to rush a pup

Give it a chance to grow up and develop confidence before exposing it to dog parks or highly populated areas.

Spend this time researching dog behavior and training methods.

i was out and about with my pup after his 2nd round of shots.
the dog park and pet stores came after his 3rd round of shots.
i waited a week after his 3rd round of shots before going to
pet stores and dog parks.

a lot of how safe they are depends on the area.

i invited a lot of people to visit. my dog had a lot
of human visitors and dog visitors. my neighbors had
3 cats. we visited them a lot.

I would be leery too (and was). I didn't really count on the protection from the first shots given (given at the breeder's) as I felt the pup was young enough that it might not have 'taken' (mother's immunity interfering). If you want to take your pup out, you might consider carrying it instead of putting it on the ground. It can still have exposure, without the danger.
