Then what's the best flea pill? Liquid doesn't work for us.

You can use this around the home, outside and on the dog, it is cheap and effective but very dusty! Tractor supply or any feed store carries it(food grade) Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade Benefits:Gallon Jars to 50 pound bags
Capstar if there is a severe infestation.

I use AdvantixII but you have to be careful when cats are around the dogs.
A friend in FL just gave her dogs trifexis last week and both became ill. Luckily she didn't lose them.

Comfortis sucks I wouldn't recommend it
I've always used sipherol spray. Works within minutes. Treat your home. And your animal. If you can't afford flea treatment for your pet there's a capsule by cap star starts killing fleas within a half hr and affordable. But it only kills fleas. Not ticks.

Neem oil works very well and is good for the dogs hair and skin.

Mix with olive oil and massage onto the dogs hair.

We just switched from Comfortis for our cats to Revolution ( a topical). The revolutions worked well, and it was less greasy and a smaller amount than they typical Advantage.

We are looking into it for our dog due to the deaths regarding trifexis. Trifexis and comfortis are basically the same, except trifexis has an added ingredient for heartworm prevention.
