Default Feedback on a Name

We usually don't have any trouble in this department. This time we are being indecisive for some reason.

We liked the name Grimm but I am seeing too many Grimm's lately. Including our breeder who has a Grimm as well. It's not unique enough. We aren't big on common names but don't want to be silly/stupid either.

Our last dog was Miakoda, Mia for short. It was American Indian for Protector of the moon. (White Shepherd)

We are considering the name "Dag" spelled Dagr - 8th century Norse Mythology meaning Son of the Nott (Night)

Thoughts?

I love name games, especially when the person wants something unique.

I too love the name Grimm but it is very popular right now.

Let me think.......................

I like it!!
I definitely thinks it's better to stay away from super trendy and common names and think of something special for your pup!! Good luck, naming is so fun!

I didn't even think about Dagwood. So is that a good or bad thing?

Just saw the picture. I think you should name him Cute Little Fluffball.

Why not "Nott"? Maybe pronounced Knaught?
Also, look at name sites!
Behind the Name: Mythology Names
Names of Ireland (Irish Names)

Good Luck!
