Favorite dog own and least favorite

I have a goofy Labradoodle who is all fun and lively. We make a solid match. He is more goofy cute than handsome. We got him from a breeder almost 5 years ago. After all the dog stuff I got more exposed to I would love to get him into a fun sport. He is nearly 5.

My least is this little Malatese havanese mix. Honestly don't like her. She doesnt like me either. Ever since we got her a decade ago she growls and bites me. Never go for walks she never comes or will run away. We are not a match not even bonded. I am more bonded to my Labradoodle and dog park dogs and other dogs I care for. Even dogs who I see at a popular beach, the most popular dog park, at SPCA, rescue organizations, etc.

I love and treat them all the same, i have a stronger bond with my BC because he was 8 weeks old when we bought him and we have raised him for 2.5 years. The other two i am madly in love with, but i have the strongest bond with dex.

Least favorite was the beagle I grew up with. He was a terror, ill behaved and bit people. Now that I'm older, I can see it was my parents fault - no training, no socialization with other dogs or humans outside the family. Favorites are all the rest, a male lab/terrier mix, a female gsd/aussie mix and my current female gsd.

My favorite all time dog wasn't even mine. Dargua was her name, I'm probably butchering the spelling of that, it means "red" in Gaelic. Pronounced "Dara", she was a small Border Collie, white and red. Small, as in 35-ish pounds. What she lacked in size she made up for with blazing speed and cat-like reflexes. She was hyper-intelligent and a snuggler of heroic proportions. She would run and jump into my arms, flip over and demand to be carried around cradled like a baby. She slept on my chest, curled up like a cat. This wasn't even my dog, but for whatever reason when I was around she focused on me, we had a very strong bond. She died of cancer, it took hold in her lower jaw and the docs said there wasn't much that could be done. So her owners kept close tabs on her and PTS when quality of life began to ebb. That dog was like a magnesium flare in a room of candles, she could dance around the raindrops.

Least favorite? Been bitten(for real) a few times. A JRT, a min-pin and a mini-poodle. Don't like those dogs too much. Still have the scar from the JRT, that was well over 10 years ago. Little jerk removed flesh from my calf, ripped my jeans too. Terriers might be sort of small but they hit like a truck.

Never cook bacon while naked.

I had a cocker spaniel for a very short while. Found him as a stray and searched high and low for his owners. I think he was dumped. We did not mesh very well at all. I ended up giving him up to a local police officer. Gorgeous dog, solid black, just not for me.

I have never understood my love for the GSDs. When I was 6 or 7, I was attacked by a retired Police K9. 52 stitches in my neck and face. I'm 45 years old and still have subtle scars on my face and neck. I just love them so much. I'm on my 3rd GSD as an adult.

All were my favorites.....all had similar qualities which affected me ever so wonderfully and all had unique attributes which made them ....well....unique.

Miss 'em all and love the one that graces my life now.
