dribbles urine at times (Aussie puppy)

My Aussie pup Rowdy is doing something that I've never had a pup do.
He's 8mos old and not neutered.
Completely house broke for over 2 mos.
He dribbles urine when he gets excited. I'll get a trail of little spots across my carpet. It's not submissive urination, he's usually playing and running around having fun with the other dogs when it happens. It doesn't happen everyday we may go 4 or 5 days without it happening and then he'll do it 2 days in a row.
This isn't something new he's always done it, before he was house broke I thought it was just that we had waited too long to take him out.
He's healthy and fine otherwise.
Any thoughts?

He may have a urinary tract infection so you may want to follow him around with a ladle to get a sample into the vet for a check.

Otherwise he may be showing excitement urination. You can manage that and usually they grow out of it.

Thanks,
I will see about the urine sample.
When he goes out side it's a steady full stream in one spot. I was thinking urinary tract infection he would go small amounts in different places because it would hurt. Like my cats did when they had a UTI.
When he does this it's usually during play or right afterwards, like a small child that been so busy playing they forgot they had to go till the last minute.

My dog did like what you are describing. He peed just fine outside but would dribble inside. I thought it was excitement or submissive urination. Then one day he peed full out right in front of me inside. It turned out he did have a UTI. Cleared it up with antibiotics and he hasn't done it since.

Urinal infections are common in puppies. He needs antibiotics.

My Jerry-Lee used to do the same thing when he was playing and got excited. It reminds me of a little child who holds it until they can't any longer because they do not want to take the time to go potty because playing is more fun. He out grew it and I am sure yours will too.

My puppy does that when she is excited. The vet said it is very common in puppies and that they should grow out of it by the time they are 1 year old and have a stronger bladder.
