Is it a male dominance thing? Can they tell my husband is a guy and he's trying to tell him something? Rofl :what: I am going to put a stop to it I was just wondering. Anyone else have this problem.

Nah...nothing about dominance or being intact. It has everything to do with a young pup (sometimes females will do it too!) that is overly excited (not sexually) and isn't clear how to express that excitement.
I bet your hubby was playing with the pup when he displayed that behavior!?!
Nothing to be concerned with in a young pup. You don't encourage the behavior and a quiet 'quit' and redirection will teach the pup what behaviors are wanted and what behaviors aren't.
Olivia twice tried to hump me, both times when she was incredibly excited. One time was when she received her first elk antler to chew on and the other time when I was away for a few days for work. This was around the 3 months period, nothing since.
It's just how they play, i know males and female dogs that do it.
