Default Loosening of gums - can it be prevented?

She is about 3.5 months and it's just started to happen, could this be the result of large toys in her mouth?

Thanks.

Could she just be teething? And the adult teeth are coming in? 3.5 months is way too young for gum disease.

She's teething. No, you can't prevent it, and no, you don't want to. She'll lose her baby teeth, and gradually they'll be replaced with her adult teeth, just like with humans.

I know it looks that way, but it is pefectly normal - that's the way they are supposed to look . I think of it as: big mouth = big bite
