Default Rescues a pup

Last weekend we rescued Gus. Appears to be a mix of GSD and something. Not sure what. I am just looking for any possible ideas. I have attached pictures of him and of him and our boxer, Sarge for reference. Guessing he is 3-4 months old and around 30 pounds. Oh he is so cute! Does he have a docked tail or is it just curled up?

Just curled up. Looks kind of funny in that picture.

Thank you for giving that cute little guy a forever and loving home. I bet him and his big brother will have lots of fun times together.
