Default High drive?

So I've been seeing a lot High drive medium drive low drive. What exactly does it mean? How do you tell what level of drive your puppy has? My puppy was a rescue from a local humane society so he does have a pedigree and its really hard to tell anything about him other than the fact that yes he is a German shepherd. I don't really care if he a purebred or not but i would like to know as much as i can about him he is my baby after all haha.

"drive" is basically the level of motivation your dog has regarding a certain stimulus. When people talk about high drive puppies, they are usually referring to play/prey drive...a puppy that will actively attack a ball or a flirt pole for hours. A low drive puppy may be totally disinterested in chasing a ball.
