My 9 month old puppy is having trouble with his ear standing up

When he turned either 6 or 7 months old the lady that we got our puppy from she put an ear form in his ear for it to stay up, we'll it didn't last for 3 weeks and his ear has like a dip in it on the side near his other ear. We waited another 3 weeks & did it again which I believe he was actually 8 months old, this time it actually stayed in for 4 weeks but when it came out his ear flopped to the side & won't stand up so we waited another week & just put it in again today & he's 9 months old now. It seems like it won't stand up because of the dip part of his ear.


That's will his form out, you can see what I'm taking about. The right part of his ear is kinda up but his left part where the dip part is wont stand up.



& this is what is ear looks like today with his ear up. You can deff see the dip in his ear. I'm afraid it won't stand up. The lady we bought him from says his mom's ear didn't stand up till she was 9 months old. If it doesn't stand up what can we do for it to actually work?

Your gsd is a handsome fellow and that right ear gives him a rakish look and character - so if it doesn't stand up by itself, I would leave well enough alone.

Aw thank you, he's my boy haha! Yeah I like it but I just want it up he looks better haha

mine is 10 months old and both of her ears are up and down, I wouldn't worry until he is over a year..
