Hi, I am new to the forum so thought the best way to start would be to introduce my dog family. I have Kobi a 5 yr old bernese mountain dog and Kyra a 19 week old german shepherd. Both are perfect (to me) and loved very much by me

Can I ask you about Kobi? Does he shed a lot? Is his coat hard to maintain? How much does he weigh? Are you also on a bernese forum? Sorry but I think I want one!!!
Kyra is lovely too!

He does shed....not as much as a malamute (which I had years ago). I brush him once a week which seems to keep the hair under control. My daughter's great dane leaves much more hair around the place!!!
People always comment on now beautiful he is, what they don't see is that his temperament is even more beautiful The Bernese love human company and tend to think they are lap dogs, which is a bit difficult at 48 kilos!! I love him to pieces and even more so after seeing how gentle he is with kyra.As for a Bernese forum, I haven't come across one as yet ![]() Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

Welcome!
I've always wanted a BMD, but think the Carolina's are a bit warm for their coat ![]() Great looking dogs!

Thank you!!
I'm in Canberra and it gets pretty hot here too so kobi spends most of his days inside to get away from the heat. Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

Beautiful dogs! The BMD looks like he is so soft...his coat is gorgeous! Your "little" GSD will catch up in size soon enough. They will be best buddies!
