Default Is it ok to take my 14 week GSD pup on a 25 min walk?

I have been reading and reading and reading about not taking puppies on long walks. It seemed as if I had a very high strung energetic puppy. Every morning SEVERAL times a morning I would take my puppy in the yard to play with him and it just seems like throwing the ball and sticks wasn't enough. He would come back into the house looking for something to get into. I would give him puzzle toys and he had no interest in them. It wasn't until today that I took him for a 25 minute walk. After the walk he came in ate his noon feeding and he laid down and took interest in his Kong. It was like I had an ADHD puppy who is now because of the excersize relaxed!! I did the playing in the yard, throwing sticks and balls, playing tug of war with big teddy bears and toys I was getting more tired out then he was. Now he is relaxed, playing with his Kong.
Is it ok to do this twice a day or should I just stick to my once a day walk? There is no way after seeing his behavior change I'd want to not walk him like I did.

Exercise your dog as much as they want. If they are tired, you will know it. You will not harm your dog by taking he/she out more than 2x a day.

When my dog was that age I started out with a mile, then added half a mile for every month of age. Example: 12 weeks (3 months)- 1 mile, 16 weeks (4 months)- 1 1/2 miles.

Good rule of thumb but it depends on the dog, the dog's build and energy level.
If your schedule permits, try to exercise twice a day. The overall exercise can
be greater and there is less stress per period.

Leisure walks that are mostly slow sniffing and exploring my 12 week old doesnt show signs of being tired until a LONG way in, but faster paced walks she gets tired much quicker. Agree with others, just watch the signs, bring water, etc
