New pup ID please

Hello, me and my wife just got a new puppy and I was hoping for some help with identification. We adopted the puppy from a couple who supposedly bought her from a breeder and couldn't handle her. While she is definitely rambunctious and full of energy (and very smart), I am not quite sure she is a purebred German Shepherd. I don't mind if she is or isn't but it would be nice to know. I have had people so far guess that she is a wolf mix, husky mix, chow mix and many others. Hopefully I can find some guidance as to what she actually is. According to to her previous owners she was born on the 1st of December 2012, making her a few days older than 3 months at the time the photos were taken. If better photos are needed I will try my best but she's full of energy and it's a task getting her to sit still.

Now, on to the pics:

Welcome to the forum!!
She's so cute! I see GSD and Malamute? The couple that you adopted from, can't they tell you who the breeder was? What is her name?

I was thinking shepherd x husky as that is a very common cross. She is a cutie. Def not a purebred GSD.

We named her Emma. I have considered calling the owner and asking for the name and contact info of the breeder. Husky or malamute x GSD was what I was thinking as well. I have had a bunch of people say they saw wolf in her face, which could be explained by her being a malamute cross. My original thought was that her face was too furry to be a GSD.

I would call the previous owners. It would be helpful in knowing what your pup's parents are and any other info the breeder could give to you.
I just recently met a person at the park that had a GSD/Sled dog/? mix. He said that they were breeding them that way, I forgot for what reason and what they were calling this breed.
Emma is so cute, she looks like she's going to have a lot of hair. My dog is a long coated GSD and I still get asked what kind of dog he is!!
