Huter Update!
 

I LOVE MY GSD PUP! He's awesome, although a handful at times.
Thought I'd give an update. He and the older dog in the house have been getting along BEAUTIFULLY finally. THey play and rough house and they love each other. When I open the bedroom door in the morning, the older dog is waiting, toy in mouth, for Huter.

Huter is 16 weeks. 45lbs and about 19in. Seems a little short to me, but vet says that he seems to be putting a lot of growth into muscle right now and not to worry about his height rate too much. He has 4 adult teeth and has lost most of his puppy fur. His big boy fur is changing color. The fur on the saddle is coming in with black on the bottom, silver/white/tan in the middle and black on the tips. His chest stripes are almost white and moving further and further towards his sides.

He knows sit, leave it, off, come, plahtz, fass, aus, high five, kennel, watch me, hold (stay) for about 10 seconds and go lay down. He is awesome out in public and walks beautifully on leash AND off leash. He is doing great MOST of the time with biting...however he still nips my ankles at times when he's anxious. LIke if we're out and he sees other dogs scuffling, he nips my ankles to get me to stop moving for a minute. And sometimes he get too wound up and in play mode and it takes a couple minutes to get him to stop putting teeth on me. Though he doesnt bite hard anymore.

How long does the biting stage usually last? I can tell he's getting better (a lot better) so I'm not super worried, just annoyed lol

Here are three pics. One is of hism chasing a full black GSD, one is him with our other dog Bailey. The other is him, asleep on his back lol...every night. I have sooo many pics, but I wont bore you with them.
