Just curious but what should I already be expecting from a pup at 9 months? As far as behavioral issues and training, physically etc etc. I understand behavioral is based on the training and socialism but Maximus has been great so just wondering what will naturally come upon him soon in any case or scenario. Anything I should start training him now that I couldn't when he was too young? One more thing.. Summer is coming up and im from Texas we all know how HOT it gets here so is his coat gonna change for any reason? He is still indoors most of the time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Maximus will shed out that undercoat - probably around May or so. Yes, you should be training now. At 9 or 10 months, Maximus will become a teenager. He will decide he wants everything his own way and who are you to tell him.

I didn't notice too much difference in behavior with my boy. I did have to step up my game to make training more fun as he was getting bored with it. I created new games and new distractions.
I am in South Texas as well. You'll notice him start to blow his coat any time now. Depending on the weather changes. I won't be suprised if this week will be our last week of below 40 weather. My boy is LC. He loves water. When it gets hot he'll stand in his outside water bowl. When he is inside he'll lay on the tile in the shower. Before we had our pond built, I purchased a kiddy pool for him to lay in. For some reason he didn't seem to care for it. I put in a horse water trough and he loved it. Would stand /sit in in for as long as I let him. When it gets hot, remember to watch out for surfaces that he may walk on, like hot streets, sidewalks, rocks etc. They can burn his paws.
