Hi,
Just wondering what kind of dog tags people use and what information do you normally put on the tag? I found these Military Dog Tags on Amazon, great price and great reviews that I ordered, just trying to figure out what info to put on them: Was guessing name, address and contact number... anything else? I just use the normal ones from Petsmart, Delgado has the large red bone, and Jazzy has the pink heart. They have the dog's name, my address, and my cell number on them.
They also wear their City of Ottawa ID tags, and their rabies tag from the vet. They do have tags from the microchip but I figure three is enough to wear and any vet or shelter would scan them if they somehow ended up there. They wear their collars and tags 24/4

Thanks all. I've read some scary posts here about leaving the collars on... more so with multiple dogs though. I was thinking of keeping his collar with the leashes and put it on whenever we go out of the house.
My dog will be chipped too, but I want the information available in case he gets loose at a park, etc... and someone finds him, so they have the ability to contact me before he has to go to a pound/vet for the chip to be read. Thanks for the link/article Sunflowers. The military dog tags have space for 5 lines, so I'll put his name first, then my name, then address and then cell phone number. |
