Default Time for a new crate?

So my pup will be 14 weeks old tomorrow and is right at 25lbs and has a 30 inch crate that fits him well for the time being. I am going to get a bigger one soon since he is growing like a weed and I wanted to know if it would be overkill to get a 48 inch crate to move him into or if that would be too big?? He will probably be between 80-100lbs full grown.

also anyone have any good recommendations on a travelling crate that would fit into a toyota camry?

Thanks!

If you expect the dog to go to 100 pounds, I'd get a 54" crate. That's what I have for my dogs. Room for them to stand and turn around and spread out when they sleep.
