Default Grim needs a sign...

That reads "Sometimes, I pee on my face". He KNOWS he's peeing, right?? Why does he have to watch?? Not only do I wonder what's going on upstairs with him, but I have to clean off his face.

Delgado would pee on his front paws when he first started lifting his leg, but not his face! That's funny

Hahaha! I'm trying to picture in my mind how Grims is accomplishing that

Hunter likes to sniff while he pees, and sometimes investigates his own pee fresh from the spout... he peed on his face once. I wasn't impressed. :P

Rocket did that a time or two when he was younger. Now, he lifts one back leg just slightly (when he's just peeing and not "impressing" anyone). Occasionally he will still step in it. :eyeroll: But he almost always sniffs it when he's done, then almost "slinks" away. I cannot figure out why he does this.

It is funny with Beau. "old man" Grim, now neutered, squats, so Beau stands and lifts his leg to pee on the spots left behind by Grim. From what I can tell, Beau is an ambidextrous pee-er. He does not seem to have a leg preference. He never really hit his legs or face though.

The 'how' is easy. He's still not lifting his leg yet. So he squats forward, lets loose, then tucks his head down because he's still so amazed at his own feat I guess.

That's funny that you mentioned ambidextrous. Not having had a male before Bear, are male dogs typically a one leg lifter? (Kinda like a righty or lefty?) Bear will also lift both, but favors his right.
