Default Is Luna on track?

My female GSD is going to be five months old on jan. 27. She is 23 inches tall at the shoulder and 52 pounds. Is that about right for her age?

There is a fairly wide range of "normal" sizes and weights for GSD puppies - from the high end to the low end of the breed standard for an adult is a range of about 22 pounds, so it makes sense that there would be some variety at the puppy stage of development too.

Her size will be determined by her genetics, and her weight should be judged by whether or not it's appropriate for her, not how it compares to other puppies of her age. If you can feel her ribs easily and see the last one or two, if when viewed from the side she has a nice tuck up at the abdomen, and if viewed from above you can see a "waist", then she's perfect.
