Can someone explain the difference betwen certified hips 0/0 and say a-normal?

Hi,

I'm hoping someone could answer a question for me. I'm looking at specifiec breeder and all the dam's, but one have a-normal listed. There is an upcoming litter and the specific ****'s hips are listed as "Certified 0/0".

I've googled the various hip ratings, but haven't been able to find out the difference between the two ratings.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Two different rating systems due to two different countries. But beyond that there really isn't a difference and the two would essentially be equivalent. Both are the highest rating given by each system. The difference is that one looks at both hips and gives a grade for overall (so if one hip is good and the other bad, the rating will be bad due to the bad hip). The other rates each hip separately. So 0/0 is essentially saying both hips are fine. 0/1 for example would be like saying one hip is normal, the other fast normal.

Thank you for the clarification :)
