Default 10 month old GSD blood in stool and straining

Hello all,

My 10 month old GSD, Bear, has been straining to poop, had a little diarrhea, and blood in his poop on and off for the past 2 days. Sometimes he doesn't strain and it is perfectly normal. But other times he will strain and have a little diarrhea with some specks of blood in it. Then sometimes he will try to poop and nothing comes out. We haven't changed his diet since we got him and he is up to date on all shots and vaccinations and such. He is is normal happy, playful, puppy self. He is eating and drinking normally but he did have an accident today. First one since he was 5 months old.

Anyone else ever have this happen or know what could be wrong? We have an appointment with the vet at the end of the week for a check up.

Thanks in advance,
Brittany

PS: He did have Parvo when he was six weeks old (not sure if that is relevant)

I have no idea what could be wrong but I wouldn't wait until the end of the week to talk to a vet. Give your vet a call. Sounds to me like he may eaten something wrong or have an obstruction. Torsion?

x3... I'd not wait on something like this. If I saw blood in the stole, I'd be at the vet as soon as possible.

After you see a vet, please tell us how this comes out.
Thanks, Lloyd
