I thought i was being paranoid but it looked like my puppy was limping on the hind right leg. She will play, doesn't seem to be in pain and she will chase anything that moves but I noticed it as she was running away from me in a direct line. I thought I was being paranoid but I had a playdate with another dog and the owner of the dog said that my dog seems to be limping too which is what I was thinking. It's not very obvious but only when she's running in a straight line you MAY see her right leg hopping or limping.
Do puppies have loose hips and could it be a normal developmental thing? Does limping mean HD or pre-HD? I'll have to watch to see if her hips get better or "tighten" up but I'm not sure. It would seriously suck if she had HD. She's about 5.5 months old now. |

Hi there I'm goin tru that now with my 8 month gsd. he start it to limp a little than we had a lot of snow he went crazy he look fine to me he was running jumping but when we when inside he start it to limp again so I did some research and it seems it is common on gsd to have growing pain they grow really fast so it causes pain in their leg I gave him some buffered aspirin then it got better I took him to the vet to look at him she said he's excellent and it could come back again good luck
