My wife figured this out before I did, and I just "used" it and it worked great!! My Pug, due to stubbornness or pure stupidity... I don't know which, will refuse to come inside when you call her about half the time. She's always done this. Even when it's cold, and she hates the cold!
My wife started sending Grim back out to 'get her'. He actually herds her back into the house! So just now I couldn't get the Pug to come in, and I need to leave to go get my daughter from college for winter break. So, I sent Grim out and told him to 'get Layla'. He went behind her and brought her in! Totally cool!!

That's great!
My cocker spaniel was deaf and the house I was renting with my roommate had a huge yard so it was frustrating sometimes to try and get his attention to come in. She had a yorki/Lhasa mix, one day Crissy turned to her and in exasperation told her "go get Alex!" To her surprise Bella bounded out the door straight to Alex who turned to look at her then she ran back inside and he followed her. She got really good at it, but sometimes he would ignore her deliberately and she would get so frustrated trying to get him to follow her It's a great trick

![]() Most people mispronounce it even once I've said it, my favourite line is "Shanna, rhymes with banana" then I either get laugh or a very confused look

LOL, one of my daughter's doctors used to call her Shanna banana and it made her so mad!
I got the name from a book called "Shanna". My daughter is a total spitfire, just like the character in the book! Most people don't say her name right, either.

Ha! That is funny. When Remington was a small puppy, she would nip at our feet/ankles in the direction she wanted us to go.
Not sure if that was herding, but it was cute. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App
