Needs ideas for keeping puppy engaged during day
 

Both my wife and I work full time jobs. We keep our 9 month old GSD in his crate during the day and have since we got him at 8 weeks. My wife is able to come home during lunch to the let him and our yorkie out to potty and run around for about 20-30 minutes before she puts them back up.

I understand that this is a long time for a dog to be left alone, so I want to know if there was something that we could put in the crate to keep our GSD busy while we are at work.

after your wife lets them out at lunchtime have someone
come in and let them out a few hours later. if you put
something in the crate make sure it's big enough so it
can't be swallowed or get stuck in the mouth.
