He has dandruff(just had a bath and has been eating same food fro 1 week now), itches his collar like crazy now. he is 11 1/2 weeks old and weighs only 14 pounds. and every once in a while he bites his private area. Also he is starting to lose some fur but it isn't noticeable when you look at him. He has also been eating things off the ground a lot. What should I do with him now?

I've had dogs that were allergic to wheat (or grains) and allergic to beef.
You could try a dog food that has neither of those ingredients just to make sure. Confirm that he doesn't have fleas by getting him a topical flea and tick medicine (such as Pages - Home ) or at the very least a flea collar. Get him to a vet to check for mange ( ASPCA | Mange ). Poor puppy is surely miserable if he is itching all the time. And puppies do eat dirt and things off the ground, it's natural IMO and may help establish the correct (pro-)biotics in their intestines. I don't think I'd allow too much of it though. Good luck.

How are his stools? What is he eating for dog food? It sounds like he is either missing nutrients in his diet or is not absorbing them.

Are you in the US, or another country?

Fleas, mange, allergies?
My vet said that 11 weeks is a little young to show signs of a food allergy. Maybe environmental allergy? Seven has seasonal allergies an gets bathed with a decent quality oatmeal shampoo. The cheaper stuff doesn't seem to help as much. Sent from my iPhone using PG Free

Ava came to us on SD with a lot of itching and stool problems. As soon as I switched her food, she was completely better. I'd suggest switching your pup to a better quality food, and also perhaps seeing a different vet. Something is obviously not right.
