Hello everyone, I just got a new puppy and I was wandering if anyone might know what color this boy will be when he grows up.

Sable.

What did mom And dad look like? That should give you some idea. He's a cutie!

Thank you! I don't have any photos of his parents, but his dad is a black sable and mom is solid black.

That's a sable puppy! Though how he's going to look as an adult will be seen when it's seen!

With parents that gorgeous, he can't go wrong! I have a feeling he'll look like his sire in color. Congrats on your new pup. What are your plans for him?

Thank you! I'm going to be working with him on tracking and protection. He amazes me everyday how smart and inquisitive he is.

He'll look like the sable dog, not the black dog. Will probably be pretty dark, maybe not *quite* as dark as the sable parent but close, still a nice sable.

He looks like my sable pup did when he was that age. He'll probably look just like his sable parent, maybe a tad lighter?
