Default Help! horrible urine reek

Our GSD puppy has preferred to urinate just off the edge of the patio right next to the backdoor. I didn't really think anything about it, but recently it has started to stink horribly. As soon as you open the back door, you can smell it.

I have moved some stuff on top of that area, so she can't use it anymore and now I make sure to walk farther out from the edge of the patio before telling her to use the bathroom.

Any suggestions for killing the horrible odor? I wouldn't have thought that one puppy could produce that much stink outside. She has been using that spot for almost 2 months. We got her mid-September.

Water, water, and more water. Dilute it out and it should go away fairly quickly.

You can also use vinegar. I'd be worried about using bleach ... (I'm not a fan of chemicals). You have to do a lot of rinsing to get ALL the bleach away and it can still be harmful if the dog licks it later

Like Elaine said, water, water and water

Rusty has always peed away from the house but started to pee on this small bush on the side of the house. It started to smell...could smell in the front of the house...yuck. I used the garden hose and kept spraying the area. Then told everyone in the house when they see him start to lift his leg in that area to stop him...an "hey" works good and he eventually stopped going there.

Jazzy sometimes piddles on the carport just before the grass. I rinse with water but have NEVER smelled a urine odor even when I cant get it rinsed for a while. Sounds to me like a UTI or something of the like for urine to reek THAT bad.
