How long till your puppy was 20+ pounds?

I am trying to get Lulu on a monthly preventative but I run into size road blocks. How long did it take your puppies to get to 20 lbs? I plan on using advantix and right now she is 16 lbs. Can I just use 2 of the vials if she gets over 20 lbs to soon?

Depends on the puppy! Dena & Keefer were in the 18/19 pound range when we got them at 9 weeks old. Halo was only 14 pounds at 10 weeks old, so it was a few weeks before she was that big - I don't remember what we did with flea and tick medicine with any of them since it was years ago.

I'd ask your vet about how much to use.

Depends on the individual puppy.

Zira was 25lbs (and under weight) when we got her at 3.5 months. Storm was 18lbs at 9weeks... now she's 45-50lbs at about 6 months.

Yoschi was 35lbs at 13 weeks the day we got him... one week later he is 38lbs!!!!

Midnight was 19.5 lbs when I got him at 9 1/2 weeks... I just gave him the meds my vet gave me to give him. He's 25 lbs now, 2 weeks later...
