I'm very curious about if you can tell if puppies are going to be blanket backed ect. My pup (17 weeks) seems to be so much darker then others i have seen.

I think this pup will be a saddle back with a light face.

I do not know how true it is but I've always heard that the more brown they have on their cheeks and up behind their ears, the less black they will have on their back.
Using that I would think yours would end up a saddle back.
Frank is a bi-color and you can see in his puppy pics he had no color behind the ears and only a little bit as eyebrows on his face. His black color on his body grew instead of lightening like I hear alot of people say about their puppy's color.
Maybe an old wives tail but it did work to predict Frank's color.
Frank's about 14 weeks in these pic's

Thank you for your replies. It's always interesting finding out how some people tell colour from pure experience.
