Most of you know our issues with Knuckles swallowing socks & hair scrunchies. This past weekend we bought a new headboard for our room, which has drawers & cabinets. My first comment was that it will be great because when I take the schrunchie out of my hair at night I can put it in the cabinet and won't have to worry about forgetting to grab it in the morning before Knuckles does. As I'm putting things in the new headboard, Knuckles of course is on the bed watching me and I tell him, "See this? Mama had to buy a headboard designed around YOU! I wish you were a normal puppy and just chewed things up instead of swallowing them!"
So far this week he's chewed up one of my tennis shoes & one of my daughter's boots. I give up.

He hasn't touched a shoe until this week. My husband said it's my fault, I should have wished for him to be a 100% good puppy.

Been there, done that...Freyja added up over $900 in destroyed shoes. For the last several months she's been behaving herself, but I'm constantly paranoid. I know your frustration.

Ruger chewed up one of my $120 pair of Keen tennis shoes. Well, trail shoes, whatever.
I've lost a lot of stuff to dogs though, that was the 1st thing he chewed on with any value. Except his brand new walking harness that didn't allow him to pull. Sigh. It was around $30 and I don't want to go buy another one! We have a Dachshund that loves to chew up the kids' headphones. It's their fault for leaving them out!

I had a Basset that chewed up my 8gig SD card that had lots of photos on it.
We have a younger (not quite 2yrs. old) Dachshund that has chewed on my wireless connector that allows us to watch movies from my laptop on our TV. Despite two episodes of chewing, it still works, thank God. The set up was around $100-130?

I will say that anything that was destroyed of importance happened under my husbands watch not mine!
Last Spring when all the snow finally melted I found 2-3 pairs of my underwear outside...again, his watch not mine

OH yeah, Ruger chewed my shoe on the front room floor (they are usually in my bedroom) and nobody was here supervising.
I'd never discipline a dog for doing something like that when I was at fault for leaving them lying around like a chew toy
