My pup was neutered on tues and doing well. today I gave him a beef marrow bone, frozen, from the pet store to keep him occupied while in his crate. How often can we give bones? daily okay for the next 4-5 days? or just one to two per week? I want to give them on a regular schedule especially if he's crated for 3-4 hours during the day but not sure how often it is ok..

Don't let a puppy get very much of the marrow until he is used to it. Also it is said that frozen bones tend to splinter, especially if they have been cooked. If it has simply been frozen then thawed he should be ok, but not too much marrow.
I let my dog lick the marrow from each end then I cut out the rest in the middle that she can't get at and I toss it because too much marrow gives her the trots. |

my pup had center cut femur bones starting
the first day he was home at 9 weeks old. the bones weren't split. if the bones are split i think it's to much marrow for them all at once. i leave the bones laying around for him all of the time.

When giving marrow bones make sure it's too long to do this:
