What's the best way to clean up the occasional housebreaking accident on carpeting? Is there anything that will make sure there is no smell/stain? Do those enzyme cleaners work well as cleaners, or are you better off with a Shout-type product?

blot up as much of the moisture as you can. Papertowels really are super absorbant to use after the main moisture it gotten up by maybe towels or something.
then I generally just pour on the enzyme cleaner on the same spot. It needs to soak in the same way the 'accident' did. More great info on these sites: http://tips.simplygoodstuff.com/best...nd-pet-stains/ http://www.petplace.com/dogs/the-bes...nts/page1.aspx

I use the pet/upholstery attachment on my Bissell carpet shampooer. I found it necessary to own one of these with dogs around.
