Default Doggy day care

For those who have read my posts, offered suggestions etc... I was about 1 day away from rehoming my pup.. 5.5 months old plus a few more days.. His whining, poop eating, etc was driving me crazy. I 've had 3 other gsh before and never had a vocal dog, ever.. ( guess I was lucky) The whining etc, was stressing me bec I work from home and need quiet.. the whining never stopped. For the past 2 days I sent my pup to all day doggy day care. since he was a dog park hound,. I knew he'd like it.. within 5 minutes hes off playing with any dog that will play with him. when I pick him up, I get a dog that is tired, and much more relaxed. He still whines, but so much less. I get my work done during the day and from 5pm -11pm I hang with him. On weekends, with no work, I can spend time during the day. Doggy day care is a game changer for me.. I'm glad I can afford it,. I have to.

why do you think your pup is whining so much?
they can't eat poop when they're leashed
or when you're watching them.

I own a doggy daycare (and private dog park), and for those who need it for a situation like yours, it is a lifesaver. We get quite a few that come a couple days a week during the puppy adolescence stage and love it. Many outgrow the need for it and that is fine. The way I see it, if we can help the owners get through some of the rough spots and avoid an owner re-homing the dog then great. We do stress training, though. You will be best served to find a good trainer and work through the issues and build a good bond at this critical stage. If your boy is doing well in daycare then he sounds like an affable, social dog and should be fun to work with, you just need to focus him and yourself on training and maybe even another outlet like agility or something that you will enjoy and will challenge him.
Good luck!

I'm glad that you've found something that works for you and he's happy.
I always get a little sad when people get frustrated/stressed out over their dogs.
And, I've been there.
