Hey i just joined up to this site i have a purebred German shepherd named Dakota she is almost a year old. At what age do they get full size cause Dakota is not very big compared to other shepherd is does not seem like she growing...? can someone help please thanks. Here are some pictures

She looks like she might be about the same size as my girl, who falls right in the normal range for female GSDs. How tall is she/how much does she weigh? That's pretty much going to be the only way to know for sure if she's truly small or not. I agree with DoggyDad though in not worrying about it too much. Unless she's very undersized (which she does not appear to be) then it's probably all good.

Most GSD's I see are FAT and oversized! So it's hard to know normal when that's what I see.
What I KNOW is that a female GSD is supposed to be Quote:

She looks fine to me too. Any idea what she weighs? My Halo is 3 years old and is almost exactly at the mid-point of the standard for a female GSD at 60-ish pounds. She looks "small" to me because she's 10-15 pounds smaller than my previous females, and 20 pounds less than my male, but she's a great size - nice and compact!

Most German Shepherds are within an inch of their adult height at 1 year old but keep filling out until they are about 3 years old. Hope that helps.
