Default Roll over! A brag instead of a rant for a change...

I am the proud, tired, and sometimes frustrated first time owner of a GSD pup. Jemma is now 4 months old and I realized that all my other threads here are usually about her crazy play biting and attacking, humping of legs, biting of leashes, or other rants that I'm looking for help with.

Today, she did something that made my whole day, so I thought I'd brag on her a little for a change...

She rolled over on command! Seven times! Okay, she'll only do it for cheese at this point...but we've only been working with her on this for a couple weeks, and she's still so young. But she did it perfectly and all the way over with no help, jumping up at the end with the look on her face that said "Cheese now people, CHEESE!" ;-)

I am so impressed with the intelligence of this breed.

~ A proud mama

Good for you! I haven't been able to accomplish the rollover yet.

For a couple weeks, we had been having her do a down then rolling her over with our hands and throwing a huge puppy party with a treat at the end. The coolest part was seeing how happy she was when we were all hooting and hollering after she did it...these pups really do wanna make us happy - although some days that is hard to believe

Congrats!! Mine is just over 5 months and we haven't gotten the roll over yet It's funny how quickly some things come and this one just doesn't seem to stick.

One of my favorite things in the world is that moment when the light bulb goes off over a puppy's head!!!

Dante was never very good at rolling over he'd do it but he was so uncoordinated about it
