I need to vent. I love Wendy. I love her brains, looks, all the little GSD "features" we GSD owners are fond of.

BUT!

Why, oh, why does she insist of chewing on the springy door stopper in my bathroom?

TOYS and Chewables EVERYWHERE! She will MOVE a pile of dirty laundry (placed there intentionally) to get to the stopper. I have remodeled these old stoppers from every other room in my home - this ONE had escaped me.

I know, you say - just pull it out and put in one like you used every where else that attaches up high to the door hinge... but then I have to putty and paint the moulding where the stopper was. THAT IS A LONG STRIP OF MOULDING!

Why not just repaint the bathroom as well.

Oh, and that tile I wanted to install... go for it...

ONE SINGLE DOOR STOPPER! When we remodeled, I didn't pause when I realized that I under-counted by 1 - who would see it, or notice it. It's not in bad shape, looks new when compared to the other ones that were crappy painted and bent all out of shape. Of course this was when I had a 9 year old GSD who was the picture of perfection.... Pre-Wendy era....

Yes. I will stop at the Home Depot and get a different stopper as in the rest of the house... and just leave the darn hole until I can't take it no more.

we replaced all our floor level stoppers with a stopper that hooks on the top hinge of the door and left the metal thing it hooks to in the board since one day if we ever sell the house we will put them all back in...that was for our Labrador that did the same. Every now and then my GSD does find this one that I left in...TWANNNNNNG....LOL
