5 more days until pupper comes home. CANNOT focus on anything else. Have not been able to focus about anything else for days. Spend so muc time just refreshing forums and browsing pet supplies websites. Which leads me to...
5 more hours until major exam. T___T several hundred pages unread. 10 decks of slides unstudied. Answers unprepared. What do y'all do to pass the anxiety of waiting?! What do y'all do to regain focus in your studies and your work?

The jitters didn't set in for me until the day before. However, the actual day of the flight was tough. Very tense. But he made it here okay and now everything is settling in nicely...
Sorry I couldn't be more help. Just try not to think about it until the day of. Nothing you do now will make it get here any quicker. Focusing on your studies will help pass the time more than just dwelling on it... |

I wish time would go faster for you so that you can get that puppy home, but I am not one that has patience so I am not much help. Get your camera ready because we love pictures, and you can also put together a album to put puppy pics in because they grow so fast and you will want to look back on its growing and ear stages and all that.

I think part of the slow passage of time has to do with the fact that I had an exam a day for the past 2 days. After today's exam, I'll have nothing to do but study for my next exam on the 20th while I wait for Amaretto to come home. So, in essence, for the week leading up till these past 2 days, I've been feeling very conflicted. Want time to pass sooner so I can see the puppy, but want time to slow down so I can study more.
Amaretto arrives in Toronto at 7PM at night. I'm thinking of going out to do something that day so I'm not sitting at home counting the minutes go by.

Thanks guys for the kind words.
Camera is ready, with an extra SD card in case I run out. Hoping dad will buy a DSLR for Christmas so I can steal it to take puppy pictures. But my good old point and shoot will do.

I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to see pictures and get updates
![]() Honestly...when it was time for me to pick up a new pup, I couldn't do anything else. I guess I'm bad at self control because I just gave in to the anticipation. I hung out at pet stores, visited with my trainer, puppy-proofed my house, figured out how I was going to approach training, made up a puppy schedule (eating/potty/play/nap) etc etc etc. Needless to say, not much else got done before or after I got a new dog. I guess the only advice I can give is that you will be completely mesmerized with her once she gets there so spend your free time now getting everything you have to do out of the way. Go grocery shopping, do errands, clean, STUDY (cause I know I wasn't able to do that well for a couple weeks after I got a new dog), have a special night out with friends or your boyfriend etc. Oh and be sure to get PLENTY of rest before she gets here because that might be a thing of the past for the first couple of weeks. Just get it all out of the way so you can be guilt-free when your pup arrives! Eeek! I can't wait either!

Marshies...
I don't want to cause anymore "anxiety" for you during your wait... BUT....we had a LARGE group of people here yesterday....friends, children, dogs & people visiting the Karma puppies. (yes, Gina brought the entire litter here yesterday OMG!)....total house of chaos! A "visiting" member of this forum (he reads & lurks but does not post)...came out to meet us and see some of the dogs. He & his girlfriend got to meet Amaretto.....let me tell you...she was quite the social lil butterfly! Such a beautiful, sound lil girl! Only a few more days...she will finally be home! *Good gosh....I certainly hope the forum member's impression of us wasn't completely horrible....they were in the middle of a "nut house" yesterday!* If they are reading this too....I'M SO SORRY YOU WERE AMONGST ALL THE CHAOS!
