Default Getting a new puppy next week

I'm pretty excited right now. We reserved a new puppy yesterday and go pick him up next Thursday. He'll be exactly 8 weeks next Thursday. It's also nice that the breeder is only 30 minutes from my house, although that was absolutely not a factor that made us choose this breeder. The appearance and temperament of the mother was just absolutely amazing. We also met one of the puppies from a previous litter, and it also had just an amazing temperament.

Both the mother and father have very straight backs, which was a big factor for me. I do not like the sloped back, it makes me worry about health problems.

I'll post some pictures when I get him next week.

Congratulations! Can't wait to see pics. I hope your pup's landshark phase doesn't drive you too crazy.

It drove me almost crazy last time and for a short time I thought there was something wrong with my dog. This time, I know what I'm in for and will be better prepared.

WOW! to contact the breeder and they have a puppy immediately available and they are only 30 min away. I think I'd buy a lottery ticket! LOL!

Enjoy your new furbaby and don't forget to post lots of picture.

Always remember the pup is a pup. Having patience is the very most important thing for you and your pups relationship. The pup is never doing anything wrong in their world. I set my mind that when I think they are doing wrong to say to myself she/he is playing how can I change the play to fit the out come I want. Patience is so very key. Take a breathe before you correct something you think they are doing wrong, they are just babies.Good luck!
