My little Bear is a waterbug, can't keep him out of it.
This includes his water bowl, which is currently in the kitchen, on the kitchen, across the kitchen, and often either mostly empty or half full of paws. ![]() Solutions?

Maybe I'm a bad doggie owner, but I have learned to keep the water bucket outside. If someone needs a drink, they can ask to go out. For someone who can behave with a water bowl, their personal little show-type water bucket hangs in their crate.
I have 3 water bucket swimmers. Two are very enthusiastic. They drink outside. It must be working ok, because one is 7 yo now and I've never had health issues (from dehydration or whatnot). I have also noticed with Coulter, the most enthusiastic bucket swimmer is that he does that more often when he's bored. Take your little waterbug out for some extra training and play sessions and see if that helps with the swimming. You can also try a wading pool for outside play. |
