New Puppy in January!! Very Excited!!

Hey Everyone!

We will be getting our male pup from Carissima Kennels sometime around January 11th. His name will be Ares! We're very excited to bring him into our family. I have put together a supplies list and have gotten information from my vet and I wanted to run it by everyone here

Supplies
48" Wire Crate
2 Stainless steel bowls (food & water) and 1 travel bowl for walks/days out
Vittle Vault 30lb contain for food storage
2 collars (one for puppy and one to grow into) - got a 50% discount on Black Friday
1 leash
Dog Tag
Back Seat Hammock (we drive a sedan, so a crate won't fit)
Various toys, chews, stuffless toys, etc

Food
Royal Canin Maxi Puppy (he comes home on this - will stay on it till 4 months or so)
- We will then move onto Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild or Wellness Adult

Vet Info
First few days home wellness exam & fecal test
11/12 week exam & vaccine
15/16 week exam & vaccine
6 months-1 year neuter

Puppy Class/Socialization
- We found a puppy class that will start when he is 11-12 weeks
- Plan to socialize as much as possible between 8-11 weeks by going places not frequented by other dogs, playing with our niece(2), my sister(9) & friends kids, going and sitting outside of places, etc

I guess my main concern is socializing him as early as possible, but with a low risk of contracting parvo. Is it okay for him to play with my sisters dog (she'll be 7 months by then), or friends dogs, in our backyard, as long as we know they are healthy?
