This is Rosko's view of the yard. More importantly my peach tree. He happened to notice these the other day. I can only figure he thinks they are chuck it balls. Since he constantly has to be told to leave them. Sucker will pull them all off the tree if I don't watch him.
my peaches always drop before they are ripe enough to eat. Do you do anything special, besides chase your pooch off of them?
This is the first year the trees have really produced fruit so not yet. however my fathers fruit trees always done good. The main thing he told me was plenty of water and use the chemicals at the right time. Dormant spray really late winter then again in early spring. then depending on the year you may still have to spray a pesticide. and to expect to lose fruit. Weaker fruit will drop off early to give the healthier fruit nutrients. supposedly 75% fruit drop is considered a healthy tree. Maybe if they get far enough along you could pick and let ripen on a table. I have done that with tomatoes.
