Default Mostly done growing?!

So Ryker is 8 months old today. Boy time flies. Up until 7 months old he grew like a weed. 30lbs at 3 months, 40 at 4, 50 at 5 and so on. He was 70 at 7months and now he's really slowed down. He's at 73lbs now. I know he will gain some adult weight. But that's only maybe 5 or 10 max. Do you think he will get much bigger? His dad weighs 95-100. His mom 75. He just seems to be really slowing down with the growth.

Thanks for your input.

They all slow down at this age (can't keep that rate up forever- just like people slow down a bit in teenage years compared to when they're children). He probably won't get much taller, but he'll continue to fill out until around 2 years. At 73 lbs, he sounds like he's exactly where he should be.

Arson is 9 months old now and weighed in at 81lbs. last week at the vet and he's already standard Male height. Right now he looks all legs and will start filling out more. I think your guy sounds healthy!

Yeah he is 26 1/2 inches tall right now do he's over the breed standard by 1/2 an inch. I just want him to make it to at least 85lbs.

No offense meant by this but height and weight aren't that important....actually 80 pounds is a really good healthy weight for a large dog of any breed. I think he should get to 85 without much problem. Weight shouldn't be important lol.

I have a 90 to 100 lb dog and it's not that much fun. actually limits what you can do. I'm scared to do many things with him because of how heavy he is (he has no extra weight, he's just big and heavy)

Yeah I just love big GSD's. I grew up with ones that were about 120 lbs. lean and muscular. So I just want that again.

Even though I know ryker definitely won't weigh that much.
