Default Owner Found

Finally after everything it seems the owner contacted me. Said their phone was lost at petco as for email idk how they didn't see. Regardless the owner is now found and they're checking with the shelter right now. I'm honestly pretty sad I liked em a lot and now don't know what to do since my days revolved around him and before that my life just wandered I guess :/. The only good thing is my mom said I can adopt a puppy if I can get a large kennel or a gate in the backyard so the flowers won't be destroyed when not home. So maybe one day I'll be back if I can adopt a gsd puppy but til then it'll be awhile to get the adoption money and money for a gate and kennel plus extra money for food and any vet visits. Thank you everyone that's helped me in the meanwhile with the dog. May have only been near three weeks but to me I grew attached to the dog so hopefully I can get a puppy soon and return tothese forums

I'm sorry, I know you must be very disappointed.

It might have been a better idea to include this update in one of your earlier threads about this dog rather than starting a new thread, so people could follow the story without having to do a search on your prior posts.

OP, if you liked the experience of helping a dog in need, would your family consider fostering a dog for a shelter or rescue, to help it get adopted, while you are waiting for your pup? There are so many great dogs who need a bridge to a forever home. An adoption saves a life -- a new foster family may save ten, if they keep fostering.

Don't leave the forum just because you don't have a dog. There is still much that you can learn about dogs and German Shepherds in particular while you are saving up money for a puppy.

It was hard enough keeping the dog I'm surprised she even said I can adopt a puppy altho she put a LOT of rules besides the gate and kennel. I would love to but I know my mom wouldn't I know when I have my own place I'd help every dog I see.

Sad for you, but I'm sure that family is happy to have their dogs back, atleast I hope so.

If you want to do something with your time, VOLUNTEER at a local shelter,,there are so many animals in shelters that would love for you to give them some attention and care

It's great you were able to take care of him until the family found him. Do you know if they were able to get to the female in time?
