Default Are his ears big?

I'll preface this by saying, we love him no matter what. Even if he has Dumbo ears.

Lately we have received a ton of comments from people about how big Ollie's ears are. As in "out of proportion to his head", "Does he get TV signals with those things" and "will he grown into those things?" kind of comments.

I think he has pretty much stopped growing @ 16 months. Maybe he will fill out a bit, but I think his head to ear ratio is where it will stay.

So are his ears normal, big or small for a male GSD? I think they are on the big end of the scale, but there aren't a lot of GSDs around us to compare to.

BTW my favorite response to the ear question is "the better to hear you with my dear"

He may or may not be mature at 16 mos. Euro lines aren't fully mature dogs at 16 mos.

They look large to me, but I'm used to seeing smaller ears on Lisl.
