No...

Usually, they're a bit fluffier (fur), have bigger bone, bigger head, which gives you the perception that the dog is bigger/heavier/taller...but in reality they're basically the same size. SV does look at the dog fitting into the standard a bit more than the AKC does, so it's rare to see a way oversized male.

Oversized (larger) dogs tend to have more presence...so it makes sense that sometimes a judge will pick a larger male over a smaller male. But a good judge...will understand the standard and not place a dog that's a lot larger and therefore "approve" him for breeding.

afaik no, the only difference between them is the back and worklines are more energetic and

In my experiences, no, the biggest male GSDs I know personally are all working lines.

My last West German show dog Cutter maxed out at 105 lbs. big boned, huge head beautiful black and red color, no fat.
