Default promiscuous shiggs.

So, i caught shiggs and ty in a rather promiscuous position this morn ,Ty was "in", I was shocked. I yelled "hey" and he backed off. Ty is neutured and shiggs is spayed so what exactly were they doing? play turned into something more, but i am worried, what sort of things do i need to watch for? can shiggs get a infection?

From what I have observed, it is for the top spot kind of thing or a way to establish pack order. All of mine are fixed. This is the order I got my dogs. Misty, Tannor, Robyn, Midnite, Brennan, Batman. Now follow this...Misty never gets humped and every now and then she will go for Tannor. Tannor will try every now and then with Robyn. Robyn never never humps anyone. Midnite goes for Tannor. Brennan goes for Tannor. Batman goes for Midnite. The pack order from what I can tell is Misty, then Robyn(she bumped Tannor and he tries to reclaim). I'm still deciding where the boys are because they all seem to be trying to get to Tannors spot. Midnite is really persistent about it. I think the order I got the boys still stands, it's the girl that bumped ahead. They stop when I catch them and yell. Did you understand all that?

I am more concerned if I need to watch for infection? Std's lord knows were shiggs has been. She was not spayed until like 5 years old by the rescue, I doubt its her first time around the block. Ty is no angel himself

No, it doesn't get that far. Or at least I don't think so. Maybe it started out one way and ended up a different way for yours? Are you sure he was inside?

Yes, I watched it come out. I have no clue if it has happened before, they play together all the time. They wrestle and carry on like best buds. Never any problems. It appeared to be just the tip from across the room. It is the first time I have ever seen that.

It's an odd situation. I did a quick search and it's not common at all, especially if the female is fixed. They say males can still have sex but it's blanks. Maybe call the vet to find out if either could have gotten hurt during the process.

I've heard it doesn't count if it's just the tip.
